By default when installing MAMP for Mac OS X it will redirect you to the host url http://localhost:8888, but what if you want to use a subdomain like http://yourwebsite.locahost for testing rather than http://localhost:8888/yourwebsite. Here is how I managed it using both Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) and MAMP version 3.0.7.
UPDATE: has been revised to work with MAC OS 10.10.5. So if below doesn’t work for your older Mac OS just leave a comment and I will archive/publish the old version of this post. Also works with 10.11 (El Capitan) but needs Wineskin 2.6.1+

Sadly it wasn’t within the projects budget so after searching and testing several alternatives from the web I managed to find a FREE version called Montserrat.
Have you ever wanted to have control over the dropdown menu styles in WordPress’s built-in CMS page editor (tinymce) or had a client ask why the font is a different colour than what appears on their website. Well look no further with this handy little bit of code for adding to the themes functions file.
Here is a quick and easy way of hiding the drop down arrow that appears on a Bootstrap 3 parent menu option/item. The reasons you may want to do this, are maybe due to the design not not having one or you may also want to make the parent option clickable so taking you to another page.
